We can provide advice, practical assistance, emotional support, and signposting to services that meet your needs. Our team can help you complete important forms, navigate services such as Social Security, healthcare, housing, and tax, understand your rights, and communicate your needs to family members, professionals, and other agencies.
We also use My Brain Star, a person-centred tool that helps you identify your goals, create a tailored action plan, track your progress, and celebrate your achievements along the way.
Together, we'll help you build confidence, work towards your goals and manage life well after brain injury.
-
Our Brain Injury ID Card offers members a discreet yet powerful way to advocate for themselves in everyday situations.
Worn on a lanyard or kept close, the card identifies the individual as someone living with a brain injuryβhelping others understand that they may need extra time, patience, or support with communication. Itβs a simple tool that can make a big difference in boosting confidence, reducing anxiety, and fostering understanding in public, social, or professional settings. -

Once youβve received an official medical diagnosis of a brain injury, whether from a stroke, haemorrhage, aneurysm, fall, or any other cause, youβre warmly welcome to join our Headway Jersey community. From that moment on, youβre free to attend as often or as little as suits you. Whether you're drawn to specific rehabilitation sessions, creative therapies, or relaxing social outings, your journey with us is flexible and fully tailored to your needs.
-
To access our services, we require a referral from a healthcare professional. This can be your GP, physiotherapist, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, nurse, hospital consultant, or any qualified medical professional.
They can either write directly to us or request our official referral form. This step is essential and cannot be skipped, as it ensures we provide the right support for your specific needs.
-
Come and see what Headway Jersey is all about. During your visit, youβll meet our friendly team, connect with some of our members, and get a feel for whether our community is the right fit for your recovery journey.

You donβt need to attend every session or come every week. Youβre free to explore our timetable and choose the classes, therapies, or social groups that suit you best.
We recommend bringing a family member along, so you can make the decision together with confidence and support. -
