Our Services Manager Mark Harris also provides the islands schools, nurseries and youth clubs with educational talks about the fragility of the brain and how important it is to protect it. We have always promoted the use of a cycle helmet and are strongly supportive of the newly implemented legislation requiring children age 13 and under to wear protective head gear whilst out and about on their bikes.
In light of the new law, Mark will be visiting schools along side Jersey’s Road Safety Philip Blake and the T.T.S. Transport Awareness Officer Ania Deischel to demonstrate how to wear a cycle helmet properly and discuss the benefits of wearing a helmet. During the assembly, Mark informs children about the wonders of the brain and talks about how a brain injury can dramatically change a persons life. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of keeping yourself safe and help to instill positive attitudes towards wearing cycle helmets.
Mark and the team recently visited Janvrin School with Safety Sam to provide the informative and engaging presentation to responsive and safety conscious students!
