National Volunteers Week is takes place from 1st – 7th June this year, marking it 30th anniversary.
We are very fortunate to have a fabulous team of 38 volunteers, who provide us with a range of services ensuring we are able to continue to develop and provide our services for local people .
Our super volunteers work alongside the staff team at the Headway Jersey Centre and our charity shop in New Street and would like to show our appreciation for their commitment, enthusiasm and hard work!
The Centre hosts a variety of social activities, rehabilitation therapies and alternative therapies and these are supported by our wonderfully talented volunteers. Engaging with our members through social outings and activities, driving the mini bus and providing Subtle Energy Therapy are just a few examples of the essential roles our volunteers provide for us.
Our Charity Shop relies on the voluntary team and it simply would not be able to operate without them. We have 25 super individuals who ensure Headway jersey are able to raise much needed funds through the shop with a variety of tasks including serving cutsomers, sorting through clothes and goods, pricing, stock taking and keeping the shop clean, tidy and arranging displays.
We would like to say a HUGE thanks to our all of our wonderful volunteers for all they do. We really couldn’t do it without them!
