Employees and customers of de Gruchy store in St Helier raised £5,000 for Headway Jersey during a successful year long partnership from Spring 2013 to Spring 2014.
During the year the department store held a variety of fun and exciting fundraising initiatives its very successful Hats4Headway, Beauty Charity Evening and Christmas Jumper events. de Gruchy staff also organised a variety of events to bolster their own fundraising drives.
John Marquis, Store Director, said: “de Gruchy were delighted to be associated with Headway Jersey which provides vital support and services to people affected by brain injury. Our employees were really dedicated to supporting the charity and came up with all sorts of fundraising events to raise money, from coffee mornings in store to fashion shows, to initiatives during our now famous Gala evening.”
Maria Gouviea and Richard Woodburn received the cheque on behalf Headway Jersey in June of this year and met some of the team that worked so hard with their fundraising efforts.
